Commercial Building Disclosure (CBD)
From 1 July 2017, the mandatory disclosure threshold on commercial office space has been lowered from 2000 square meters to 1000 square meters. All Commercial Landlords, Property Managers and Real Estate Agents need to be aware of the new requirements and comply with the new threshold.
If you plan to lease or sell an office space of 1000 square meters or more, a Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC) will be required prior to any marketing activity taking place.
If you’re not sure about what the Commercial Building Disclosure program is, here is a short clip from the Department of the Environment and Energy that explains the Program.
